It all started when I was fresh out of college and took wedding planning on as a passion project…
Actually… my background is in Fashion Design, however, I throughly enjoyed the chaos that are weddings and had a devotedness for a good celebration where I can cater to others’ happiness.. that’s when “Charmed Occasions” was born.
Unfortunately, everyone experiences ebbs & flows.. so between Covid hitting and the loss of my grandmother, I was drastically turned away from the wedding world. But as she supported me on this earth, so did she from beyond.
My grandmother was a remarkable woman and had already purchased booths for local crafts shows through the year. So with a little help from my lovely assistant (aka. my grandpa), we took over her tables and continue to live out her legacy to this day.
Funny thing though - every time I started a new project, my grandma would have the supplies waiting in her sewing room ready for use. It was as if she knew exactly what I would be up to after she was gone and wanted to be there right beside it all.
As time went on, so did my hunger to be more involved in the apparel community. There just wasn’t many resources for the the complex consumer who wants high-end pieces with a mysterious quality. So I started making small quantities of items for local boutiques in Nashville and finally came to the conclusion that there needed to be an accessible space for others to see and experience a bewitching side of fashion.
With a little bit of inspiration from the wedding business that started it all, and the love of a good pun came “Charmed by Samantha”.
A woman-owned small business that features uniquely dark apparel & accessories.
Carefully curated or individually handmade, these pieces are limited to be exceptional… but with the mysticism & wearability of the artist inside of everyone.
